Decision-Maker Session¶
Based on: market_analysis/opportunities.md Decision-maker role: Sponsor / Co-owner of a traditional staffing agency — investing in Cruits as a separate brand Primary goal: MVP success — retain the first wave of clients and candidates who try the platform Session date: 2026-04-13
Decision-Maker Context¶
The person making these calls co-owns and runs a traditional Dutch temp staffing agency. They decided to invest in Cruits and launch it as a separate brand — distinct logo, distinct market positioning — to capture the digital-first niche without disrupting the existing business.
Their infrastructure baseline is non-negotiable: MySolution (payroll, contracts, CAO compliance) and Microsoft Business Central (invoicing, finance) are already in place. Any Cruits feature that would duplicate these is a waste of budget and creates data consistency risk.
The 6–12 month lens is narrow: the question is not "what makes Cruits great in three years" but "what makes the first clients and candidates not leave."
Opportunities that resolve critical operational pain in the first weeks of use are elevated. Ambitious platform features and post-MVP architectural bets are deprioritized.
Priority Rankings¶
Ranked by ROI (Value Score ÷ Effort Score), then adjusted for strategic context. Items moved from raw ROI rank carry a note in the Strategic Priority column.

Detailed View¶
1. OPP-049 — Bulk Timesheet Approval¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 5.00 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want to select all pending timesheets for a period and approve them in one action — or review exceptions and approve the rest in bulk — so that weekly timesheet processing takes minutes instead of hours.
Decision-maker comment:
"My managers process timesheets individually every Friday — that is the first thing they will complain about if we do not fix it. If Cruits makes their weekly admin faster than the old way, they will stay. If it doesn't, they will go back to the spreadsheet."
Confidence: L — Team insight. The pain is real and universal in staffing operations.
2. OPP-054 — Certificate and Work Permit Expiry Tracking¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.50 | Strategic priority: High ↑
Elevated from raw ROI rank 12. Reason: legal and reputational risk is existential, not just operational.
User story:
As an admin, I want the platform to track expiry dates for each worker's certificates, work permits, and ID documents — and alert me 30, 14, and 7 days before expiry — so that no worker is placed with expired documentation and the agency is not exposed to legal risk.
Decision-maker comment:
"We had a placement fail a compliance audit because a verblijfsvergunning had lapsed. That kind of incident ends client relationships and can bring regulatory scrutiny on the agency. The platform must catch this before I do — automatically, with enough lead time to act."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Dutch temp staffing regulation makes this a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have.
3. OPP-056 — No-Show Replacement Finder¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.50 | Strategic priority: High ↑
Elevated from raw ROI rank 12. Reason: a no-show in the first weeks of a client using Cruits is a retention crisis. How the platform responds in that moment decides whether the client comes back.
User story:
As a manager or admin, I want the platform to immediately find and notify available replacement workers when a placed worker reports a no-show — so that I can fill the gap within minutes rather than making manual calls.
Decision-maker comment:
"The first time a worker doesn't show up and the client has to call me instead of getting an automatic replacement offer — that client is done with Cruits. This feature is not a convenience; it is a trust signal that the platform can handle real operational failures."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Dependency on OPP-G03 (reliability score) and OPP-G04 (attendance tracking) improves accuracy but the feature works independently.
4. OPP-047 — Bulk Candidate Actions¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 4.00 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want to select multiple candidates from an applicant list and send offers, decline, or move them to a next stage in a single action — so that I can process high-volume applicant pools without clicking through each profile individually.
Decision-maker comment:
"When a manager gets 40 applications and has to click through each one to decline them, that is not a product — that is a chore. Bulk actions on the candidate list is table stakes for anyone who has handled real volume."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Standard expectation in recruitment tooling.
5. OPP-G10 — Multilingual Platform — UI, Contracts, Chat¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.67 | Strategic priority: High ↑
Elevated from raw ROI rank 22. Reason: migrant workers are the core candidate segment in Dutch temp staffing. A Dutch/English-only platform structurally excludes a large share of the target pool.
User story:
As a flexworker who does not speak Dutch or English fluently, I want the app UI, job descriptions, contracts, and chat messages to be available in my language so that I can understand what I am agreeing to and communicate with managers without a language barrier.
Decision-maker comment:
"The workers we place are Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian. If they cannot understand the app, they will not complete their profile, they will not accept offers correctly, and they will call us with questions the platform should answer. This is not a localization feature — it is the foundation for the candidate side of the business."
Confidence: L — Team insight. The contextual justification is strong given the NL migrant labor market structure [M].
6. OPP-G01 — Worker Favorites Pool, Ban List, and Auto-Accept¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want to save trusted workers to a favorites list, automatically confirm recurring shifts with them, and block workers I do not want to receive again — so that I have full control over my personal worker pool without re-reviewing the same decisions each week.
Decision-maker comment:
"Every manager in traditional staffing has three workers they always call first and two they never want to see again. The platform needs to encode that. A manager who can save their preferred pool and never receive a banned worker again will use Cruits every week — not just for the first job."
Confidence: H — Favorites confirmed on Temper and Indeed Flex. Ban list is team insight [L].
7. OPP-048 — Placement Calendar for Managers¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want an internal calendar view showing the start and end dates of all active placements, filterable by job, worker, and date range — so that I can see my full workforce timeline at a glance and plan ahead without exporting to a spreadsheet.
Decision-maker comment:
"Managing placement end dates in a spreadsheet alongside a platform is a workflow split. If the calendar is not inside Cruits, the manager will keep the spreadsheet — and once they keep the spreadsheet, Cruits becomes optional. I need the placement timeline visible in the product itself."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
8. OPP-019 — Platform Background Check and Worker Vetting¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.50 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want every worker on the platform to have passed an automated background check so that I can fill shifts with confidence without running my own screening.
Decision-maker comment:
"Clients trust us — the traditional agency — because they know we vet who we send. If Cruits puts unvetted workers in front of clients, we undermine both brands. Every worker on the platform should have passed an identity and background check before their profile is visible."
Confidence: H — Indeed Flex, Instawork, Wonolo all confirmed.
9. OPP-G04 — Geofenced Clock-In and Real-Time Attendance¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.67 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager, I want workers to clock in via the app when they arrive on site, see live attendance status per shift on my dashboard, and — where the client site uses its own time-tracking system — have hours sync automatically into Cruits timesheets, so that I have verified, real-time attendance without manual data entry.
Decision-maker comment:
"Timesheets mean nothing if the hours in them are not verified. Geofenced clock-in turns attendance into a fact, not an assertion. Clients who see live attendance on their dashboard stop calling us to ask where their workers are — that alone justifies the build."
Confidence: H — Confirmed on Job&Talent and Planday.
10. OPP-G02 — Mobile Apps for Managers and Admins¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.67 | Strategic priority: High
User story:
As a manager or admin, I want a native mobile app so that I can approve shifts, track attendance, review candidates, and act on urgent staffing issues from my phone without being tied to a desktop.
Decision-maker comment:
"A manager on the warehouse floor cannot run to a desktop to approve a timesheet or check who showed up. If Cruits only works at a desk, we lose every manager whose work happens on-site. A mobile-first manager experience is not optional — it is the product."
Confidence: H — Manager mobile apps confirmed on Indeed Flex, Job&Talent, Instawork.
11. OPP-044 — Timesheet Correction Request (Worker-Initiated)¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: High
Elevated above its ROI peer group. Reason: timesheet disputes resolved outside the platform (via WhatsApp or phone call) break the digital loop and signal to workers that the platform is incomplete. This is a core workflow closure item.
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to tap a button in the app to request a correction to my submitted timesheet hours so that I can flag mistakes without a phone call or separate email to the agency.
Decision-maker comment:
"If a worker has to call the agency to fix a wrong timesheet, we have failed at digitization. The correction request must be in the app. It is a small feature that closes a hole in the core loop."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
12. OPP-036 — Job Locations on Map¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 4.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to see all available jobs on a map so that I can understand where work is concentrated and choose a neighborhood to rent housing that gives me easy access to the most opportunities.
Decision-maker comment:
"Workers new to the Netherlands often choose housing based on where they can find work. A map view costs almost nothing to build and gives candidates a reason to open the app even before they apply to anything. Good for early engagement."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Particularly relevant for the migrant worker segment.
13. OPP-G06 — Payment Speed and Earnings Transparency¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.67 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to see my projected earnings before I accept an offer, track what I have earned so far this period across all my jobs, see when each payment will land on a calendar, and receive my pay as soon as my hours are approved — so that I can make informed job decisions and plan my finances without calling the agency.
Decision-maker comment:
"Workers who can see what they will earn before accepting an offer, and what they have earned so far this week, make better decisions and call the agency less often. The display features (salary-to-date, earnings preview) are S effort and should come first. Instant payment infrastructure is a separate investment that requires a payment provider deal — not for the MVP phase."
Confidence: H — Temper DirectPay confirmed. Job&Talent salary display confirmed [M]. Display features are lower effort than instant payment.
14. OPP-057 — Client Self-Onboarding UI¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a client company, I want to complete onboarding — creating my company profile, defining job templates, and signing the service agreement — entirely in the platform in under 10 minutes, without scheduling a meeting or waiting for an agency representative.
Decision-maker comment:
"In our traditional agency we onboard clients over a call — and that works because we have the relationship. For Cruits as a separate brand, a client who has to wait a week for someone to call them back will not wait. A self-serve onboarding wizard brings them to their first job posting without friction. Important, but not before we fix the core operational tools."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
15. OPP-052 — Transparent Matching Score Breakdown¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a manager, I want to see a breakdown of why a candidate was matched to my job — showing individual score components (skills match, availability, distance, rating, rate) — so that I understand and trust the recommendation rather than treating it as a black box.
Decision-maker comment:
"Managers who do not understand why a candidate was ranked first will override the system every time. Showing the score components — skills, distance, availability, rating — makes the matching engine an advisor rather than a black box. This is about trust in the product."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Matching engine already stores component scores [H — Epic 2]; surfacing them is primarily UI work.
16. OPP-039 — Company Trust and Transparency Section¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to see detailed information about a company before accepting a shift — including certifications, permits, safety records, and verified reviews — so that I can confirm the employer is legitimate and safe before I travel to a new location.
Decision-maker comment:
"A worker from Ukraine who has never heard of a Dutch company needs to know it is real and safe before they get on a bus to a location they do not know. KvK verification, certifications, and worker reviews on the company profile are not extras — they are what makes a migrant worker say yes to an offer."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Critical for the migrant worker segment.
17. OPP-G03 — Worker Quality Score and Rating-Gated Access¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a manager, I want each worker to have a visible reliability score based on their attendance and ratings, and I want low-scoring workers to be automatically deprioritized for shift offers, so that I consistently receive candidates with a proven track record.
Decision-maker comment:
"A reliability score based on real attendance and reviews is exactly what clients in traditional staffing rely on word-of-mouth for. The platform can make that objective. Meaningful after we have attendance data from OPP-G04 — sequence matters here."
Confidence: M — Instawork score confirmed [H]. Rating-gating inferred from Indeed Flex and Wonolo [M].
18. OPP-060 — CV Generation from Profile (PDF + Share)¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 4.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to generate a formatted, professional-looking CV in PDF based on my Cruits profile — including my skills, certifications, work history, languages, and ratings — and share it with employers or download it for use outside the platform.
Decision-maker comment:
"If a worker can generate a professional CV from their Cruits profile in one tap, they have a reason to keep their profile complete and up to date. Better profile data improves matching quality for everyone. It is a small build with compounding benefits."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Side effect: incentivizes profile completion.
19. OPP-G09 — Calendar Integration — Shifts and Hiring Milestones¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 4.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker or manager, I want my accepted shifts and key hiring dates to sync automatically to my Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar so that I do not manage two separate schedules.
Decision-maker comment:
"Workers who accept shifts and then double-book themselves are a source of no-shows. Syncing accepted shifts to the worker's phone calendar is a one-week build that prevents a real operational problem. Do it."
Confidence: L — Team insight. No competitor benchmark but the expected behaviour is clear.
20. OPP-046 — Worker First-Day Onboarding Checklist¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a manager, I want a structured checklist for each new worker's first day — covering document checks, site orientation, contact exchange, and safety briefing — so that nothing is missed when a new flexworker starts.
Decision-maker comment:
"We miss things on first days — especially when we are onboarding multiple people at once. A structured in-platform checklist tied to the placement makes sure document checks, safety briefings, and contact exchanges happen every time, not just when someone remembers."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
21. OPP-053 — Candidate Employment History within Cruits¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As an admin, I want to view a worker's full placement history within the Cruits platform — including past clients, roles, durations, and outcomes — so that I can assess their reliability and suitability without asking them directly.
Decision-maker comment:
"A worker's track record on the platform — placements completed, duration, early exits — tells me more than a CV. The data is already in the database. Showing it as a timeline on the admin view is nearly free and makes placement decisions faster."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Data already exists in placement records.
22. OPP-021 — Onboarding Knowledge Quiz Gate¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As an admin, I want workers to pass a role-specific knowledge quiz before their profile becomes visible to clients so that only workers with verified baseline competency enter the matching pool.
Decision-maker comment:
"A basic quiz before a worker profile goes live filters out applicants who are not serious or not ready. It also gives us a defensible answer when a client asks how we screen candidates. Simple to build, useful as a signal."
Confidence: H — Wonolo onboarding quiz confirmed.
23. OPP-055 — Analytics KPI Dashboard (Agency)¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As an admin, I want a configurable dashboard showing KPIs for the recruitment process — fill rate, time-to-fill, placement volume, no-show rate, worker retention, client activity — so that I can manage agency performance and report to stakeholders without building reports manually.
Decision-maker comment:
"I need to see fill rate, time-to-fill, no-show rate, and client activity without opening Metabase and writing a query. A configurable KPI dashboard is how I manage the agency's performance in Cruits — important, but after the core operational features are solid."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Epic 15 shows event infrastructure and basic widgets exist; a full agency KPI layer is the next step.
24. OPP-058 — Client Health Check Dashboard¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As an admin, I want a health score and activity summary for each client account — showing whether they are posting jobs, receiving candidates, creating placements, and approving timesheets on schedule — so that I can proactively identify disengaged accounts before they churn.
Decision-maker comment:
"In traditional staffing we notice a disengaged client because our account manager feels it. In Cruits we will miss it unless the platform surfaces it. A health score per client — job posting frequency, application response rate, timesheet approval speed — lets us intervene before a client goes quiet permanently."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
25. OPP-025 — Leave and Absence Request Flow¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to submit a leave or unavailability request from the app so that my availability is updated automatically and my manager is notified without a phone call.
Decision-maker comment:
"Workers texting the agency about unavailability is a manual loop we should not carry into a digital platform. An in-app absence request that updates availability automatically and notifies the manager is a basic operational closure. Scope to unavailability periods — statutory leave belongs in MySolution."
Confidence: H — Planday leave management confirmed.
26. OPP-026 — Labor and CAO Compliance Checks on Schedules¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a manager or admin, I want the system to warn me when a proposed shift or schedule violates Dutch labor law (ATW) or the applicable CAO rules so that I can correct it before workers are notified.
Decision-maker comment:
"MySolution handles payroll-level CAO compliance — we are not rebuilding that. But schedule-level checks (rest periods, max weekly hours, consecutive shifts) are different and happen before payroll. An automated warning when a proposed schedule violates ATW prevents fines that would embarrass the brand."
Confidence: H — Planday compliance checks confirmed. Cruits already integrates MySolution for CAO payroll [H — project context]. This covers scheduling-level compliance only — not payroll calculation.
27. OPP-061 — Training and Certification Marketplace¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Medium
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to browse, purchase, and complete training courses and certification programs directly within Cruits — and have the resulting certificates automatically stored in my profile and verified by the platform — so that I can upskill, stay compliant, and become eligible for higher-value shifts without leaving the app.
Decision-maker comment:
"Workers need certifications to qualify for shifts — when a certificate expires they stop working. Right now they figure out renewals on their own, which means gaps in availability and lost revenue for us. If Cruits shows them exactly what expired, recommends a course, and auto-updates the certificate when they finish — that closes a real operational hole and makes the platform stickier for workers."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Strong synergy with OPP-054 (Certificate and Work Permit Expiry Tracking) — expiry alert triggers marketplace recommendation; course completion auto-renews the cert record, closing the loop.
28. OPP-037 — Document Attachment to Timesheet¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to attach a document (such as a sick note or medical certificate) directly to my timesheet so that my absence is documented and justified without a separate email or phone call to the agency.
Decision-maker comment:
"Useful for sick notes and exceptions, but not a blocker for MVP adoption. Belongs in a later sprint once the core timesheet flow is stable."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
29. OPP-027 — Team-Wide Announcements¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: S | ROI Ratio: 3.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want to send a broadcast message to all workers assigned to a project or shift group so that I can share updates without sending individual messages.
Decision-maker comment:
"Broadcast messages are a convenience feature. We handle shift-change announcements in other ways right now. Low priority until the one-to-one communication flow is solid."
Confidence: H — Planday announcements confirmed.
30. OPP-038 — Gamification and Achievement Badges¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to earn badges and achievements for completing my profile, landing my first job, hitting attendance streaks, and accumulating hours — so that using the app feels rewarding and my achievements are visible to managers as trust signals.
Decision-maker comment:
"Engagement mechanics have value but this is not why someone stays on a staffing platform. They stay because shifts are filled, timesheets are paid on time, and the app works. Get the fundamentals right first."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
31. OPP-023 — Visual Drag-and-Drop Shift Scheduling¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want to build a weekly shift schedule by dragging workers into time slots on a visual calendar so that I can plan staffing without spreadsheets.
Decision-maker comment:
"Nice to have eventually, but this is a feature for mature scheduling workflows. In the MVP phase our managers are managing smaller volumes where the current interface is sufficient. A visual scheduler is a 6–8 week build that should wait until clients are asking for it."
Confidence: H — Planday visual scheduling confirmed as core feature.
32. OPP-035 — AI Job Discovery and Auto-Apply (Worker)¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want the app to find the top-matched jobs for me based on my skills, availability, and preferred rate, rank them by earnings potential, and apply to them on my behalf — so that I fill my week without manually browsing and applying to each job.
Decision-maker comment:
"Auto-apply could be interesting for engaged workers but requires a reliable matching engine and sufficient job volume. Not ready for MVP — we do not yet have enough data or jobs on the platform to make the recommendations meaningful."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
33. OPP-050 — Own Workers in Cruits (No Payroll)¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want to add my own direct-hire employees to Cruits so that I can use the platform's chat, shift planning, and timesheet features for my entire workforce — not just workers placed through Cruits — while Cruits does not process payroll or charge a per-worker fee for my own staff.
Decision-maker comment:
"Interesting strategic direction — turning Cruits into a workforce OS rather than just a staffing marketplace — but this is a product scope decision that needs board alignment, not a sprint task. Do not start this without a clear product boundary decision."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Strategic decision required first.
34. OPP-024 — Shift Trading Between Workers¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to request a shift swap with a colleague directly in the app so that I can resolve a scheduling conflict without contacting the agency.
Decision-maker comment:
"Useful when shift volume is high and workers have an established community on the platform. Too early for MVP — the worker base needs to exist before shift swaps are meaningful."
Confidence: H — Planday shift trading confirmed.
35. OPP-022 — Direct Hire / Permanent Conversion Pathway¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want to initiate a permanent hire offer for a current temp worker through the platform so that I can convert high-performing flexworkers without going outside the system.
Decision-maker comment:
"Permanent conversions are a revenue event for a traditional agency, but in Cruits's early stage this is edge-case volume. Handle conversions manually for now and add the workflow once we see it happening regularly."
Confidence: H — Wonolo direct hire pathway confirmed.
36. OPP-032 — Worker Hourly Rate Negotiation¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 1.50 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to propose or negotiate my hourly rate with a client before confirming a shift so that I can agree on pay that reflects my skills.
Decision-maker comment:
"Rate negotiation changes the dynamic between workers and clients — it is a business model decision as much as a feature decision. Not something to introduce in the MVP phase when we are still establishing trust in the core placement flow."
Confidence: H — Temper rate negotiation confirmed.
37. OPP-034 — Cruits Community Forum¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want access to a community forum in the app where I can ask questions, share tips, find shift-swap partners, and coordinate with other workers — especially when I have recently arrived in the Netherlands — so that I feel supported beyond just the job-matching function.
Decision-maker comment:
"A community forum is a long-term engagement play. It requires active moderation and a critical mass of users to be useful. Not for MVP — revisit when the platform has a stable active worker base."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
38. OPP-018 — Bundled Worker Insurance¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want accident and liability insurance to be automatically included when I accept a shift so that I am covered without arranging a separate policy.
Decision-maker comment:
"A valuable retention feature for workers, but it requires a commercial insurance partnership that is a separate legal and procurement process. Engineering effort is secondary to the deal itself. Not for the MVP roadmap."
Confidence: H — Temper FreeSecurity and Instawork bundled insurance confirmed.
39. OPP-031 — Two Worker Models — Contractor vs. Employed¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to choose whether I work as a self-employed ZZP contractor or under a standard temp employment contract so that I can select the legal and payment model that fits my situation.
Decision-maker comment:
"ZZP support adds a new legal and payroll track. MySolution handles employed workers — ZZP would be a different flow entirely. Not for MVP. We will serve the temp-employed segment first and add ZZP when the core product is stable."
Confidence: M — Temper FreeFlexer vs. Temper Staff model confirmed [M].
40. OPP-020 — Instant / Same-Day Shift Claim¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a flexworker, I want to browse open shifts and claim one immediately so that I can fill last-minute availability without waiting for an agency offer.
Decision-maker comment:
"Self-claim shifts reduce agency oversight — that conflicts with the mediated placement model we are running. I want the agency in the loop on every placement, at least in the MVP phase. Revisit if we decide to open a marketplace tier later."
Confidence: M — Self-claim confirmed for Instawork and Wonolo.
41. OPP-030 — CRM — Client Relationship Management¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As an admin, I want to manage client accounts, track sales interactions, and monitor account health in one place so that I can grow and retain client relationships without switching tools.
Decision-maker comment:
"We manage client relationships in our existing agency tools. Cruits does not need its own CRM in the MVP phase. If client volume in Cruits grows enough to require it, we will add it — or integrate with HubSpot."
Confidence: M — Bullhorn CRM confirmed as primary differentiator [M].
42. OPP-051 — Market Supply Statistics¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want to see how many workers matching my job requirements are currently available in the Cruits pool — so that I can set realistic expectations for how quickly a role will fill and decide whether to adjust rate or requirements.
Decision-maker comment:
"Supply data becomes meaningful at scale. With a small initial pool, this feature would surface numbers that mislead rather than inform. Add it once the platform has data volume that makes the statistics reliable."
Confidence: L — Team insight.
43. OPP-G05 — Integration Hub — Payroll, HR, VMS, ERP¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: XL | ROI Ratio: 1.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As an admin, I want approved timesheets and worker data to flow automatically into our payroll, HR, VMS, and ERP systems, and I want to be alerted immediately if any integration breaks, so that I am never billing manually or learning about sync failures from a client complaint.
Decision-maker comment:
"MySolution and Microsoft Business Central are already in place and cover the core payroll and finance integrations. Building additional connectors is XL effort and low urgency for the MVP. Prioritize only if a specific client's enterprise system blocks adoption."
Confidence: H — Planday and HelloFlex integrations confirmed. Core payroll and finance covered by MySolution + MS BC [H — project constraint].
44. OPP-G08 — AI-Powered Recruitment Automation¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: XL | ROI Ratio: 1.00 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As an admin or manager, I want the platform to autonomously generate outreach messages, conduct initial screening interviews, and fill open shifts by sending offers to matched candidates — pinging me only when a human decision is needed — so that I can focus on edge cases and relationships rather than routine placement logistics.
Decision-maker comment:
"Autonomous screening and outreach agents are compelling but 3+ months of engineering work with significant GDPR and AI Act compliance exposure. This is a post-MVP capability — after the core placement loop is proven."
Confidence: M — Job&Talent Clara confirmed [H]. Bullhorn outreach [M]. Autonomous manager agent — team insight [L].
45. OPP-028 — Demand Forecasting¶
Value: ★★★☆☆ | Effort: XL | ROI Ratio: 0.75 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As a manager, I want the platform to predict how many workers I will need per shift based on historical patterns so that I can post shifts proactively before a staffing gap occurs.
Decision-maker comment:
"ML forecasting needs historical data the platform does not yet have. This is a feature for a platform that has been operating for 12+ months with a large client base. Not relevant for MVP."
Confidence: M — Indeed Flex ML forecasting [M]. Planday demand-driven scheduling [M — inference].
46. OPP-029 — Automated Client Invoicing¶
Value: ★★★★★ | Effort: M | ROI Ratio: 2.50 | Strategic priority: Low ↓
Lowered from raw ROI rank 12. Reason: Microsoft Business Central already handles client invoicing. Rebuilding this in Cruits creates data duplication and a reconciliation problem between two systems.
User story:
As an admin, I want invoices to be generated automatically from approved timesheets and sent to clients so that billing requires no manual data entry.
Decision-maker comment:
"Invoicing runs through Business Central — that is not changing. Rebuilding invoicing inside Cruits would mean managing two billing sources and reconciling them every month. The right move is a clean integration where approved timesheets from Cruits feed into BC, not a parallel invoice system."
Confidence: H — MS BC in use as the finance system [H — project constraint]. HelloFlex automated invoicing confirmed for the competitor benchmark.
47. OPP-G07 — Contract Lifecycle Management¶
Value: ★★★★☆ | Effort: L | ROI Ratio: 1.33 | Strategic priority: Low ↓
Lowered from raw ROI rank 32. Reason: MySolution (My Sign) already handles contract generation and e-signature. Rebuilding a contract engine inside Cruits duplicates existing infrastructure.
User story:
As an admin, I want employment and secondment contracts to be generated automatically when an offer is accepted and presented for in-app digital signature, so that placements can start without manual document preparation.
Decision-maker comment:
"Contracts and e-signatures are handled in MySolution via My Sign. That is where they stay. What Cruits needs to do is surface the contract status from MySolution so workers and managers can see it — not generate a second copy."
Confidence: H — MySolution My Sign confirmed in project context [H — Epic 4.9, 3.10]. Job&Talent automated contracts confirmed as competitor benchmark.
48. OPP-033 — Multi-Supplier / Agency Management¶
Value: ★★☆☆☆ | Effort: XL | ROI Ratio: 0.50 | Strategic priority: Low
User story:
As an admin, I want to manage multiple staffing suppliers in one interface so that enterprise clients can consolidate their contingent workforce programs on the platform.
Decision-maker comment:
"Multi-supplier is an enterprise architecture play that requires fundamental changes to the data model. We are not building an enterprise VMS — we are proving a two-sided marketplace. Not for the foreseeable future."
Confidence: M — Indeed Flex Flex Plus confirmed [M — enterprise feature].
49. OPP-059 — White Label¶
Value: ★★☆☆☆ | Effort: XL | ROI Ratio: 0.50 | Strategic priority: Low ↓
Lowered from raw ROI rank 47 (already last). Reason: Cruits itself is being positioned as a separate brand by this decision-maker. White-labeling for third parties is entirely out of scope.
User story:
As a business stakeholder, I want to offer the Cruits platform under a custom brand to staffing agencies in other markets so that we can expand revenue without building separate products.
Decision-maker comment:
"We positioned Cruits as a separate brand precisely to avoid diluting the existing agency identity. Selling it as a white label to other agencies at this stage would distract the team and give away our competitive edge before we have proven it ourselves."
Confidence: L — Team insight. Strategic commercial decision.
Strategic Adjustments Summary¶
| ID | Title | Raw ROI Rank | Move | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OPP-054 | Certificate and Work Permit Expiry Tracking | 12 | ↑ to Rank 2 | Compliance failure is existential — regulatory and reputational risk |
| OPP-056 | No-Show Replacement Finder | 12 | ↑ to Rank 3 | MVP retention hinge — client experience in a crisis moment |
| OPP-G10 | Multilingual Platform | 22 | ↑ to Rank 5 | Core niche: migrant workers cannot use a Dutch/English-only platform |
| OPP-044 | Timesheet Correction Request | 6 (among S/ROI-3) | ↑ to High | Closes a core workflow loop — disputes outside the app break digitization |
| OPP-029 | Automated Client Invoicing | 12 | ↓ to Rank 45 / Low | MS BC already handles invoicing — duplication creates reconciliation risk |
| OPP-G07 | Contract Lifecycle Management | 32 | ↓ to Rank 46 / Low | MySolution handles contracts — rebuild is redundant |
| OPP-059 | White Label | 47 | ↓ noted | Cruits IS the separate brand — white-labeling for others is out of scope |
